Joann Gonzalez is Vice President, Human Resources, for Comcast’s Customer Care, Inbound Sales and Telesales Operations across the Central Division. In this role, she is responsible for partnering with leadership on key initiatives, change management, leadership development, implementation of people strategies and programs, and employee relations. Joann supports approximately 7,000 employees in multiple locations across 12 states.
Joann has more than 20 years of human resources and leadership experience. She joined Comcast in 2006 in Portland, Oregon, and moved to Atlanta in 2011. Joann began her career in the cable industry at Time Warner Cable and has held various human resources and management positions in the telecommunications, forest products and insurance industries.
Joann holds a Masters of Business Administration from Union University. She also earned a Bachelors of Management Science from Kean College. Joann was certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) in 2001, and she was the 2013 recipient of the WICT Southeast Chapter’s Red Letter Award for Rising Leader.
