"I’ve been a proud member of WICT since the 1990s, beginning my journey with the Southeast Chapter during my time at Turner Broadcasting. Following the AOL acquisition of Turner/Time Warner and the resulting downsizing, I relocated to Southern California, where I remained actively involved with WICT through the SoCal Chapter. Now back in Atlanta, I’m honored to serve as Treasurer on the 2025 Board of The WICT Network: Southeast.
What has always stood out to me about WICT is the community it fosters — the camaraderie, the opportunities for growth and learning and the powerful network of mentors and peers. Over the years, as our industry has faced constant change and many of us have navigated unexpected career transitions, WICT has remained a steady and supportive presence.
In the wake of COVID and the rise of remote work, WICT’s role has become even more critical. For newcomers to our industry, the mentoring and connection that once happened organically in the office is harder to come by — and organizations like The WICT Network are helping to bridge that gap. Even as return-to-office policies evolve, the need for meaningful mentorship and professional development remains, and WICT continues to meet that need with excellence."
